2011 NYP Open House
In early January, the annual NYP Open House took place! We want to know who went? A show of hands? Team NypmarketingFTW did, some of us even helped out too, and you would have seen us at the Marketing Booth.
For those of you who missed out, we're bringing you the highlights of those few days!
Visitors were able to check out all the 46 various courses and also the new Diploma Plus Programme, new diplomas in Food & Beverage Business and Medicinal Chemistry, and new curricula for the diplomas in Mass Media Management and Electrical Engineering with Eco-Design under one roof.
School of Business Management (SBM) Course Booths at Block B, Level 2
Students who were interested in taking a business course were lead to the room where they would be able to speak to the lecturers and students – seniors who have made NYP their choice – on life and learning at NYP. We ourselves were there and hoped that all the information given would make you choose NYP Marketing as your diploma course!
Guided School Tours, Tour Registration Counter, Atrium, Blk A, Level 1
Visitors were able to join a SBM guided tour led by the student guides and see first-hand our state-of-the-art facilities, innovative projects and inspiring learning environment. The SBM tour brought the visitors to the Shopping Arcade, tutorial rooms and various other important and interesting places in SBM.

Marketing as one of the top paying job
According to a marketing interactive article in 2009, marketing manager was among the top paying job with a pay of $8,917 across all industries!
This definitely proves that marketing is a job with bright carrer prospects! :)

Success Story
The O level results were out today at 2pm, we hope everyone received some good news!
Today, we are going to share a NYP Marketing success story!
His name is Daniel Charles
Diploma in Marketing Class of 2008
He owns two companies related to motor sports, Global Racing Schools and DNA Motorsports, his second company takes clients all over the world to try fast cars. Daniel picked NYP’s Diploma in Marketing course as his first choice. With 9 points for his 'O' levels, he could've easily qualify for a JC, or a good number of other NYP courses. But Daniel knew exactly what he wanted, so he chose Marketing to fuel his business dream.
He says this of the course:" The diploma in Marketing course at NYP has provided me with practical knowledge on how to start and grow my business. It provided me with well-rounded skills in building world class business. I found modules such as Brand Management, International Marketing (now New Media Marketing), Entrepreneurship, as well as the Teaching Enterprise Project to be of direct value to anyone aspiring to set up their own business or who is keen on developing a professional marketing career."
